Sunday Morning by Maroon 5
Come and rest your bones with me
Driving slow on Sunday morning
And I never want to leave
- Sunday morning, rain is falling~
- I woke up to a pleasantly cold Sunday morning. It could've been a such a heavenly time to sleep in but hey, it's Sunday! And the last one for the summer, too.
- So, today...
Quite frankly, I was scared. A huge part of me didn't want to see him sprawled and unable to move freely in that hospital bed, but they dressed me in hospital garments, masks and all. Only two visitors were allowed so I went in with my mom. It broke me a little, seeing all those tubes and machines attached to his body, seeing him unable to utter a single word, seeing him with his eyebrows strongly knitted together and his face creased and contorted, and seeing my mom bustling around, talking loudly, trying to fill in the empty silences. If there hadn't been anyone in the room, it was almost like she was reassuring herself that he would get better. I was never the favorite. I don't think I've shown him any sheer sign of affection. Things stayed that way. I was just there, listening and looking on, making small talk. I wanted to cry, too.
It was painful to watch. My relatives, trying to smother their tears with sunken eyes and tired bodies, but there was still laughter in our coming together. I hope that lifted the weight from those heavy hearts. He's out of the ICU now and recovering. I could almost feel everyone breathing freely again. Thank God.
- I took a long nap in the car in a position that was quite degrading to my already messed-up posture.
- We had lunch with my parent's Chinese friends in this Chinese restaurant. I saw a kid that greatly reminded me of Dudley Dursley. No offense meant, really. Dudley cracks me up.
- Cute notepads, why can't I have you all? </3
- If you think I still want anything to do with her, then you are dead wrong.
- ^No, that isn't anyone you know. The first name that popped into your head was probably just as dead wrong.
- I bumped into Paula and Azxyl today. They gave me hugs and we clamored over Ed Sheeran's album. Hmm, lovely people.
- I found myself people-watching today. It was interesting. I should do it more often. So far, there were six people that caught my eye.
- I saw someone with a lovely, captivating smile although, I couldn't tell if that someone was a boy or a girl. For a boy, he looked really pretty and slightly feminine. For a girl, well, she was dressed in boy clothes and.........looked like a boy. Oh well, whoever that someone was, I hope he/she keeps that smile.
- I saw this kid, bending over and laughing hysterically over some stamp sets. It delights me how happy he was.
- I saw this Asian. He reminded me of those K-pop stars. He looked gay, though.
- I saw these two guys in loose shirts, bling bling and spiked hair, like those street gangstahs you normally wouldn't trust. They returned a 200 peso bill. Looks can be deceiving.
- I saw our lady guard in outside clothes.
- So, I bet this has been really boring to read, but that's how my Sunday went. How did yours go?
